Hi,
Since the PokerStars update to version 82.9.4.7 (released 3 September 2026), my PokerStars hotkeys stop working whenever the PT4 HUD is attached to a table. With the HUD disabled — but PokerTracker still running — the hotkeys work normally.
What changed on the PokerStars side: the table window is now rendered with a different UI framework. Enumerating the windows shows the table as window class GLFW30, and the action buttons as FlutterOnlinePokerButtonClass. This is new with this version.
What I observe with the HUD attached: PT4 creates a window of class ptTableCoverClass (title ptTableCover) that fully covers the table window — in my case the table is at 1934,0 (846x611) and the cover is at 1902,-9 (910x652).
What I ruled out by logging the foreground window 4x/second for 2 minutes:
The HUD never takes keyboard focus. PokerTrackerHud4 only ever appears as the window under the cursor, never as the foreground window. Focus stays on PokerStars or on PokerTracker4.
It is not a focus-stealing issue, and not caused by my custom stats or HUD profile (I restored an older configuration and the behaviour was unchanged).
The behaviour is inconsistent: sometimes clicking another application first and then hovering over the table makes the hotkeys work again, sometimes not.
My conclusion is that the new Flutter/GLFW client handles keyboard input inside its own rendering engine rather than through the standard Windows message flow, and the ptTableCover overlay interferes with it.
Setup: PokerTracker 4.19, Windows 11, PokerStars.IT 82.9.4.7, PostgreSQL 13. HUD profile is a third-party Spin&Go pack. Mucked Cards display is enabled (which is what creates ptTableCover).
Is this a known issue with the new PokerStars client, and is a fix planned? Is there a setting that prevents PT4 from creating the table cover window?
Update — additional findings
Further testing has narrowed this down considerably.
The hotkeys only work while the table does NOT have keyboard focus. If I click any other application (a browser, for instance) and then simply hover the mouse over the table, the hotkeys fire correctly. The moment a PokerStars table receives focus, they stop working.
The broken state is per-process, not per-window. Clicking any one table breaks the hotkeys on all open tables simultaneously. Focusing a non-PokerStars window restores them on all tables at once. So it behaves like a state that toggles for the whole PokerStars process, not something tied to a specific table window.
It also triggers by itself. When a tournament finishes, the table takes focus on its own without me clicking anything, and the hotkeys break from that moment on. This makes it impossible to work around by simply avoiding clicks while multi-tabling.
Things I have now ruled out by testing:
Mucked Cards: disabling it in PT4 does not fix the problem. Note also that the ptTableCover window is still created and still overlaps the table even with Mucked Cards disabled.
Cursor position: it makes no difference whether the cursor is over bare table felt or over a HUD panel — I always press the hotkeys away from the panels.
HUD stealing focus: I logged the foreground window 4 times per second for 2 minutes. PokerTrackerHud4 never appears as the foreground window at any point — only ever as the window under the cursor.
PokerStars settings: hotkeys are enabled and correctly configured in user.ini; the Multi-Tabling options make no difference.
My own configuration: restoring an older PT4 configuration (stats, columns, HUD layout) changed nothing.
My working interpretation is that the hotkeys are dispatched through a global keyboard hook that acts on the table under the cursor, and that when a table holds focus the keystroke is instead consumed by the new Flutter/GLFW input path without triggering the hotkey — with the PT4 overlay being what makes the difference between the two paths.
