Neither V2 nor HUD work - VISTA gives new error message

Hi,

thanks for the ongoing great service.

Today I tried to open both PT2 and HUD, and neither of them will open. I get an error message (in German) along the lines of "Pt2.exe doesnt work any more, the program will be closed and you will be informed when there is a solution". I have tried a reinstall, but it makes no difference, and yes, as per the last year or so, I'm running it as an adminstrator.

As background I have Vista Business.
