PFR Bet Size in BB for MTTs?

Hi All,

I use the avg bet sizes on flop/turn/river for my Tourney HUD and find it pretty usefull when multi-tabling.
Would like to add a stat for the avg PFR in BB, anyone done that already?

That should be buildable, but I'm not certain exactly what stat you're looking for.

Do you want a stat to add to a "table averages" group that is just "average preflop raise size" in terms of big blinds? That's what it sounds like but I'm not 100% sure it's what you want so I figured I'd check before helping you build the wrong thing :)

I think he might want someone's avg PFR size and not the table average. Like for example, 2.3BBs or 2.5BBs or something.

Yeah I see what you mean now but I would put in a request for the the interpretation I mentioned :D I guess I could take it as a motivation to also learn how to make my own custom stats, :lol:

Hrm, actually, doing it in BBs is a bit harder than I realized. You can do it as a percentage of the pot fairly easily though. To do that you'll need two columns:

cnt_pfr_bb:
sum(if[tourney_holdem_hand_player_statistics.position = 8 and tourney_holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_p_raise > 0, 1, 0])

which counts how many times a player has raised from the BB.

Then:

cnt_pfr_size_bb:

sum(if[tourney_holdem_hand_player_statistics.position = 8 and tourney_holdem_hand_player_statistics.cnt_p_raise > 0, tourney_holdem_hand_player_detail.val_p_raise_made_pct, 0])

Put the latter over the former and that will give you the average percentage of the pot they raise from the BB. Since pot size is normally a function of the blinds anyway it's not a bad substitute for the time being, at least :)

You should be able to do it in BB.
The database field:
tourney_holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_p_raise_made
..specifies the size of your first preflop raise so you can divide that by the BB amount:
(holdem_limit.amt_bb *holdem_limit.val_nlpl_mult)
..and use that instead of:
tourney_holdem_hand_player_detail.val_p_raise_made_pct
in kraada's expression.

Any idea how i could keep all those All-In Bets out?
They affect the stat to much.

Adding not(holdem_hand_player_statistics.enum_allin = 'P') will ignore hands where you went all-in preflop.
