What to set as "active" when mining?

Postby DesrAw » Thu Apr 10, 2008 8:33 pm

hey

I understand that active should be set to the database that hands are imported to. Normally for me that would be my played hands database.
But when I want to mine some hands, and sent them into my observed hands database, do I have to set this database to active then?

Under the Auto Import window, you can choose two separate databases to import into. Played vs Observed. Leave the played as 'Current Active Database' and change the observed to the database you wish to import your observed hands into.

and then when I import observed hands, I don't change the active database from played hands to observed hands?

I have just tested my question.

With played hands db active, I imported 3 observed hands. Turned autoimport off, and went into the statistics area, but couldn't see any statistics. I then restarted pt3, but still no statistics.
Then set observed hands db as active and imported 1 hand. Then when I went into the statistics area, I could now see information on all the 4 hands.

Is there a reason why I'm only able to see the first hands after I have imported hands with the observed hands db active? or does it only update statistics with a minimum no. at the time?

I did try the refresh button multiple times :)

looking forward to see the answer.

Edit: one additional question. Is it not possible to see stats. from both observed and played hands db at one time(combined)?

If you have your played hands database set as active and have a separate observed hands database set to import hands into, when you go into view stats you will be viewing your active database not necessarily the observed hands database. Once you set the observed hands database as active, you should see the observed hands you imported.

No, you cannot select more than one database to view stats in the tracker. In the HUD, stats will be combined across the databases. The point of the observed hands database is to build up hands for use while playing then this database can easily be cleaned/replaced while keeping your played hands.
